Its Fall in Louisiana, Yall! Corn Mazes & Pumpkin Spice Beignets #Fallelujah
Whelp the scorching heat, scorched grass fires, and wasps have had their turn. Its FALL in Louisiana, and we all can’t wait to put up our faux décor. We don’t have the most distinct changing of colors on our leaves, but it’ll do! Gumbo is cooking and the fall festivals are in full swing.
The LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens corn maze was phenomenal this year! My favorite portion, (besides the delicious bags of popcorn) was the hay ride, hands down. The tractors picked you up under a tent, and then slowly rolled you by the fruit gardens, corn maze, and finally the sunflower field. We were dropped off there for about 10 mins before the next tractor came down to bring us back. This made for the perfect amount of time to enjoy the sunflowers, and snag a few pictures.
The kids really enjoyed the spooky tiny maze (feed me Seymour!) which featured a tractor and haybale set up to take pictures with! My husband really got a kick out of the tractor! We by passed the corn pit tent, and had snowballs instead! There were clean port-o-potties and bottle water for sale as well in the lounging area.
Finally, after a popcorn break, we made it to the corn maze itself. It was well done with dead ends and dirt walking trails. It was fun getting “lost” and finding our way within the tall corn stalks. The little ones loved the experience and ran wild! The sounding of the horn let us know our session was over. We will do this again before the season is over. 10/10 recommend!
